How To Take Your Measurements

How to Take Your Measurements

Creating a ZULLO frame begins with you.

These measurements allow us to design a bicycle that fits your body naturally and intuitively. The process is simple and can be done at home in just a few minutes.

You do not need any special equipment—only a measuring tape, a wall, and ideally a second person to assist you.

You can download the full form here:

Before You Begin

  • Measure barefoot
  • Wear light, fitted clothing
  • Use a rigid measuring tape
  • Stand naturally—do not stretch or force posture
  • Record all measurements in millimetres (mm)
  • If possible, have someone assist you for accuracy

The Measurements

Follow the diagram in the form as a visual guide.

A — Height

Stand upright against a wall, barefoot, with your heels touching the wall.

Measure from the ground to the top of your head.

B — Total Body Length

Stand upright and measure from the ground to the sternal notch (the small dip at the base of your neck).

C — Inseam

Stand with your back against a wall.

Place a book firmly between your legs, pressing upward to simulate a saddle.

Measure from the top of the book down to the ground.

This is one of the most important measurements—take it carefully.

D — Upper Leg

Kneel on the ground with your body upright.

Measure from the top of your knee to your crotch, keeping your thigh vertical.

E — Arm Length

Extend your arm straight out to the side.

Measure from the shoulder joint (acromion) to the middle knuckle of your hand.

F — Shoulder Width

Measure the distance between the two shoulder bones (acromion to acromion).

A Final Word

Take your time and measure twice.

Perfection is not required—these measurements are the beginning of a conversation.
Our atelier will interpret them with care, experience, and sensitivity to create a frame that feels entirely your own.
